Tree health & safety assessments

Know what needs attention.
And what to do next.

Whether you manage a school playground, business premises, communal gardens or public open space, we help turn tree observations into a practical management plan.

01 / INSPECT

A professional site visit

A ground-level visual assessment of the agreed trees or site, looking for visible defects, condition concerns and factors relevant to the surrounding area.

02 / REPORT

A clear written record

A PDF report explaining the agreed inspection scope, findings and recommended action, with tree references, photographs and location information where appropriate.

03 / PRIORITISE

A practical way forward

Recommended work, priorities and timescales, together with suggested reinspection intervals and any need for further investigation.

Choose the right level of detail

Two ways to record your trees.

We’ll agree the survey approach and report detail with you before booking, so you know exactly what is included.

FOCUSED SURVEY

Exception-based / negative survey

A concise approach focused on trees requiring attention within the agreed inspection area. Those trees are individually recorded, with findings and recommendations. The report states the area covered and the limits of the assessment; unlisted trees do not receive a detailed individual inventory entry.

FULLER INVENTORY

Individual tree condition survey

A fuller record of each tree included in the agreed scope, with individual references, condition observations and recommendations. Useful when you need a more detailed tree inventory for ongoing site management.

These are health and safety / condition surveys. If you need a specialist planning, development, mortgage or subsidence report, tell us at enquiry so we can confirm whether your requirements are within our scope.

Common questions

Before you book.

What affects the price?

The number of trees, site size, access, location and the level of reporting required. Our single-tree inspection starts from £125 + VAT (£150 including VAT). We confirm the scope and total quotation before booking.

How often should trees be reinspected?

We recommend an interval suited to the trees, their condition and how the surrounding site is used. Your report will explain the recommended approach for the agreed inspection scope.

What if a tree needs a closer investigation?

A ground-level visual inspection has limits. If climbing inspection, specialist testing or other further investigation is needed, we will identify this in our recommendations and discuss the next step.

Do we have to use you for recommended tree work?

No. Our inspection findings and recommendations are separate from any optional quotation for tree surgery. You are free to choose your contractor.

How quickly will we receive the report?

We agree a reporting timescale when quoting, based on the size and complexity of the site. Let us know about any deadline when you enquire.
